Rainbow Pack Outfit is located in Bishop California on the Inyo National Forest. It was started in 1924 by Bishop blacksmith Harry Halliday. The facility operates today much the same as it did in Harry's day. The facility is under evaluation by the State Historic Preservation Office for eligibility of the National Register of Historic Places. Free tours of the facility are available during the summer months. This family run business offers guided trail rides and overnight pack trips into Bishop Basin in the Inyo National Forest the John Muir Wilderness as well as into Kings Canyon National Park. Spotdunnage traveling hunting fishing and all expense trips are available. Rainbow Pack Outfit is under permit by the Inyo and Sierra National Forest and Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Park. Visit this summer and experience the High Sierra on horseback! We look forward to your visit!
